St Meriadoc Infant Academy PTA
We are in need of new members! Please contact the school if you are interested.
Welcome to our PTA page, we refer to ourselves at the KIT (Keeping in Touch) Committee
This page will provide you with information on all the activities that KIT undertakes in support of our school and its pupils, as well as keeping you up-to-date on our latest news, events and fundraising plans.
In addition, we have set out some information below about KIT – which we hope will give you a better understanding of who it is and how it works:-
So who is KIT?
Our KIT Committee is a voluntary group of which ALL parents, carers and guardians of children attending the school as well as its teaching staff, are welcome to attend. Members are entitled to attend meetings, vote on proposals and make suggestions for spending or raising funds.
The main objective of the Group is, in partnership with the school and parents, to enhance the education and well-being of our pupils by providing resources and activities for the children.
The KIT Committee is actively seeking both new members and people who are willing to help with events.
If you can spare a few hours throughout the year, please join us for one of our meetings or contact Sam Hassett in the office if you are able to help with events.
Meeting new people, knowing more about what goes on in School, having a say in how money should be allocated, and making a difference to the pupils experience, are just some of the benefits you will gain by being involved with KIT.
Our meetings are open to everyone, so why not come along to one and listen to the range of topics being discussed – you can be involved as much or as little as you wish.
Our School Council have decided that they would like some new games painted onto the playground. We are currently raising money so that we can do this for them. Thank you for helping to support the KIT committee in raising money for the children at St Meriadoc Infant Academy.
Decorate an Egg Competition
KIT held the competition across the school, from Nursery to Year 2. The children brought in eggs decorated in bright colours, glitter, spots and stripes. We even had a dinosaur and a hedgehog! Well done to all of the children who took part, we love seeing how imaginative you are each year!
We held our Spring Fayre on Friday 18th March which was brilliant- we raised £566! Thank you to all of our families for supporting us and making the event such a success.
Funds raised will be used to purchase treats for the children and be put towards the purchase of the playground markings.
