About Us
St Meriadoc is a Church of England Academy with a very close working relationship with the local Diocese. We regularly attend church and local clergy take assembly once a week.
Although we are in the heart of Camborne our school buildings are situated in private secluded grounds surrounded by trees. We have a large field and a wooded adventure playground which we use as often as possible. We strongly believe that outside play and exploration is vital to a young child’s all round development.
Our academy motto is ‘Let Your Light Shine’. Our ethos is based upon Christian values and beliefs. The values that we believe best represent our school are 'Faith, Love, Respect, Perseverance and Forgiveness'. We value each child as an individual and encourage them to become responsible and caring members of the community. We have an open door policy for parents and are committed to the ideal of a partnership in education between home and academy. Our academy is a busy, happy community where children really do believe they can succeed in anything they put their mind to.
I feel very privileged to be the Headteacher of this academy.
Visitors often comment on the confidence, friendliness and good behaviour of our pupils. Our children are very enthusiastic and keen to always do their best and this combined with excellent teaching means that our Key Stage 1 attainment levels are ranked as amongst the top 10% in the country.
I hope you enjoy browsing our website and if you'd like to visit the academy you will be made very welcome.
Mrs Bethan Anderson, Headteacher.
